Charlie Schweik is a Professor with the Department of Environmental Conservation and School of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. He is a founder of UMassAir an interdisciplinary group using unmanned aerial systems for environmental management, where he utilizes FOSS4G technologies for data analysis. He has been involved with the educational mission of OSGeo since 2007 and co-chairs the North America Region of GeoForAll. He is the founder (along with Mohammed Zia and Andy Anderson) and Editor in Chief of the FOSS4G International Conference Proceedings repository.
