Joachim Ungar is Lead Cartographer and Geospatial IT Engineer at EOX an open source software oriented company serving customers such as ESA in the Earth Observation field. Beginning the career in research focusing on climate model analysis and population modelling, implementing geospatial software as a Short Term Consultant for the World Bank, he now creates custom basemaps for EOX as a product, processes cloud-free and global Sentinel-2 mosaics using self-built tools, is a dedicated open source Python developer and contributed to various FOSS4G events. EOX is a long-lasting sponsor of FOSS4G conferences and organized the OSGeo Codesprint 2014 in Vienna.
