Patrick Talon received the MSc degree in Geosciences and Environment in the University of Lausanne, Switzerland in 2018. Specialized in geospatial analysis and deep learning using recent open source technologies, he currently works for Deimos Space UK in the Earth Observation Applications section, as an Image Data Scientist/AI. He is mainly involved in two projects: TEMITH (Total Ecosystem Management of InterTidal Habitats) which aims to detect and monitor threats to the intertidal habitats in the Solent (UK), and SWANS (Shared Waterspace Autonomous Navigation by Satellite) that seeks to exploit Earth Observation data for improved autonomous behaviour of unmanned surface vessels.
